Lawsuits, anyone? legal defenses (or offenses) have worked for the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations for years. It’s too late for these trees but maybe we can stop the next destruction by putting in place laws to mandate EIS and public hearings.

Hi Ash — They are actually still hanging-in-there, in the small corner-section of “woods” that is still left, possibly biding time until the youngsters grow up a little more. I’ve heard them howl to sirens once from there, but I have not seen them come out and play the way they used to. We’ll have to see what happens. All territories appear to already be “owned” by other coyotes here in San Francisco, so there may not be anywhere else to go. Janet

Hi Allen — I just now answered another comment exactly the same as yours and will copy/paste that here: They are actually still hanging-in-there, in the small corner-section of “woods” that is still left, possibly biding time until the youngsters grow up a little more. I’ve heard them howl to sirens once from there, but I have not seen them come out and play the way they used to. We’ll have to see what happens.
