Spooked On Its Way Down A Hill By A Twig

I’ve seen this coyote often: it tends to spook pretty easily, flinching or jumping at small movements which it takes more seriously than is warranted. So, here, this coyote dashed down a hill, only to unexpectedly be confronted by a taller twig than the surrounding ones. The twig moved a little, probably caused by the coyote’s own movement down the hill. It was unexpected and frightened the coyote. The coyote stopped dead still as can be seen in the first slide bottom row, and then crouched down and back and flinched strongly, as can be seen in the second slide bottom row, before moving on. I was able to catch it in an image this time.
