Today I was out before dawn. I heard the sirens, and then amazing coyote sounds in the distance, so I ran to get there, and began recording along the way as I approached the sounds. I could not see them at first, but could tell that they were in a ravine, which produced amazing echos.
I suppose the sounds bounced off the surrounding hills. Possibly the stillness and the fog helped to enhance the echos. I finally spotted them in the dark twilight but could only get one blurry photo! However, I did record the last part of the concert right to the last note: the concert ended abruptly — no diminuendo or decrescendo!
