Heartbreaking. Imagine the profound sadness of the wounded coyote that lost its family so brutally. Ignorant cowards with guns. What could go wrong?

Does the phrase “got away” mean shot and injured? So that individual must suffer and heal or die undocumented?

I think I found the wounded animal, and the bullet seems not to have entered the body, but instead created a burn wound: this is healing well. I could be wrong, and in that case what you say would be true. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the animal was indeed the one I found.

Horribly sad and cruel situation..so grateful for all the hard work you do for these beautiful beings. They have no real voice ( in human terms). We that love them are their support and education system for the public.
