PHOTO: Summersaulting!

There’s lots of joy in watching a carefree urban coyote having lots of fun! This one found a ball to play with which had been left by a dog. Among her antics with the ball were jumps, sprints, tossing the ball up in the air and catching it, and repeated roly-poly tumbles and summersaults!

Looks so innocent. I hope that the local SF residents will not feed them, and let them live as they should, not as we “humans” think they should. Keep dogs on leash at peak coyote time, so you don’t have to blame them when your dog gets attacked. We are sharing our earth with its wildlife, we belong on the earth, the earth does NOT BELONG to us.

Everyone onboard is keeping an eye out for feeders — they do exist and we’re trying to stop them. And I always advise folks to leash up and walk away the minute they see a coyote, for precisely the reason you give. Thanks for your comment! Janet
